      • Place the beginning of the measuring tape at one temple, just above your hairline.
      • Run the tape around the back of your head, following the natural curve, to the other temple.
      • Inspect the tape to make sure it is level and not too tight or loose.   
      • Note the measurement in centimeters or inches.   

      8. Measure the nape of the neck

      Finally, measure the width of your nape, which is the distance from one side of your neck to the other. Follow these steps:

      • Place the beginning of the measuring tape on one side of your neck, just above your hairline.
      • Run the tape straight across the back of your neck to the other side.
      • Inspect the tape to make sure it is level and not too tight or loose.   
      • Note the measurement in centimeters or inches.
